Arizona Hotspots!

Where to stay?

While there are so many amazing places to stay, The Camby (@thecambyhotel) is an absolute must. This Marriott boutique hotel is located on Camelback Road in Phoenix. Overlooking Camelback Mountain, The Camby has so much to offer and is in a prime location to all the best dining and night life Phoenix AND Scottsdale has to offer. It offers a rooftop pool, gym, spa, TWO restaurants and a bar - what more could you ask for?! The service is absolutely top notch and the people are so genuine. I absolutely cannot say enough about this hotel, how beautiful it is and how amazing the location is in relation to everything the area has to offer.

About 20 minutes down the way guarded by mountains is the beautiful Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs (@pointehiltontap), also located in Phoenix. This resort is a little bit further outside of town but is perfect if you are looking to stay more low-key. They have multiple pools, one adult only and the view is unreal! They also have a full waterpark, spa and a few restaurants/cafes. Because it is so big they offer a golf cart shuttle service so you can get from one end of the resort to the other with ease. Pointe Hilton is just a short road trip away from the Grand Canyon and Sedona if you have a rental car and are looking for a day trip. All in all, it is another beautiful resort that has so much to offer, you will not be disappointed!

What to eat?

If you know anything about me by now, it is that I am such a foodie! I always try to find the best places to eat everywhere I go, cause why wouldn't I?! We all know that Arizona is known for their Mexican food so if you don't get tacos, you're missing out. The two top taco places that stole my heart was Taco Chelo (@tacochelo) located on E Roosevelt St in Phoenix and Taqueria El Fundador (@taqueriaelfundador) located on W Van Buren St in Phoenix. Taco Chelo is a quant taco place in such a cute spot with the best guac! And Taqueria El Fundador is definitely what the locals hit up (which is how you know it is good). Both places are rated one of the top taco places in Phoenix and are order at the counter, highly highly recommend!

An absolute "must eat" is Fellow Osteria (@fellow.osteria) located in Scottsdale. This is one of the best Italian Restaurants I have been to in a long time. Not only does it have amazing food, but the atmosphere and service is impeccable. But let's talk about that spinach ricotta ravioli I had, talk about yum!! And then for dessert, the chocolate covered cannoli...oh my god to die for.

While we are talking about Italian food if you are looking for pizza, Craft64 (@craft64scottsdale) located in Scottsdale (but has multiple locations), is where it is at! They have so many kinds of pizza to offer along with beer flights, which are so cool! I'm not usually the biggest beer person, but the beer flight definitely fit the bill. If you are looking for a fun wine tasting you have to check out Scapegoat (@scapegoatbaraz), also located in Scottsdale. I am definitely a white wine kind of girl and they definitely hooked us up with all the best white wines along with a cheese and meat board!

Last but not least if you love donuts, you HAVE to make a stop by Chin Up Donuts (@chinupdonuts) in Scottsdale. They not only taste amazing, but the shop is so cute and all of the donuts are decorated to perfection. Highly recommend the oreo and s'mores flavors!

Sightseeing?

Let's be real, Arizona is such a beautiful place so anywhere you go will be worth your while. BUT if it is your first time I have four "must do" recommendations. First and foremost THE GRAND CANYON (@grandcanyonnps). From Phoenix this was about a 3 hour drive so we did have to rent a car but I promise you it is well worth it. I suggest going at sunrise or sunset so you can see the backdrop of the sun on the gorgeous red canyon. We ended up on the south rim side, but any of the spots will not disappoint (just be sure to look online which side you are closest to before you make the drive lol). I have never seen anything like this, you absolutely have to do it!

Second on my list is Sedona (@visitsedona). Funny enough we weren't even planning on going but everyone on our trip told us we had to see it so we did! It ended up being on our way back to Phoenix so it was a perfect pit stop. There are a lot of great hiking trails and the view is gorgeous the entire way; it is absolutely unreal! And the cute little town just fits in so well so be sure to stop for a bite to eat.

Next is hiking Camelback Mountain (@hikecamelback)! I personally have never been "real" hiking so this was a brand new experience for me and let me just say it was anything but easy, but so incredibly worth it! There is an easy trail, but we did the extremely difficult one lol. The view was just absolutely insane!

Last but not least, if you are over 21 you have to experience the night life of downtown Scottsdale. The people are so much fun and the bars/clubs are so awesome! Everything is pretty much opened so you don't have to worry about the capacity limits either. Overall definitely go out at least one night, it's such a fun experience!

Why go to Arizona?

Why wouldn't you go?! There is nothing but beautiful sights, people and food. I definitely will be going back and I highly suggest that everyone go at least once if they can, it is well worth it!
