Yee Yee Day!

Yee Yee! What a privilege it was to be able to attend such a spectacular event! But first let me back y'all up and tell you about the journey there.

Traveling with such great company (shoutout to all the boys plus Kairi) we loaded up Travis' (@travisdodd1) infamous truck to the trailer and we were on our way. Finally on the road, late afternoon Thursday, we had about a 17 hour drive from Tampa. Boy was that a long drive! Naturally, we started the road trip off with some Chic-fil-A and got some good tunes rollin'. Just when we thought we were almost there, we had about 10 hours left lol!

At about 10am Friday morning we rolled into the Holiday Inn in Hutto, TX, which was about 15 minutes from the Yee Yee Farm. The boys got the truck all fixed up while Cassie (@cassieshortland) and I took a trip to Walmart. Apparently Texas is supposed to be super hot and dry (so I was told), but we got lucky enough to be there on the coldest rainiest day, so we had to go buy some extra layers!

At about 12:30pm we were on our way to the farm, blasting country tunes and ready to have a day! We drove right into the Truck & ATV Range with quite the entrance, windows down, with Logan Cochran's "Backroad" on the speaker.

Jumping out of the truck (yes jumping because that is how high it is) what an awesome feeling it was. There was a big white truck with a HUGE Texas flag to our left, while we were greeted by Parker Smith (Granger Smith's brother) and tons of ATVs ripping through the mud. This was pretty much heaven for me.

For those of you who don't know me too well, I grew up in the country of Pennsylvania riding horses competitively my whole life. I am a country girl at heart and I was definitely back in my element.

While we were all mingling and having a great time, Granger Smith was busy drowning his truck in the pond below where we were standing. You think I am probably kidding but I am quite serious. They had to bring in the biggest tractor in the world to pull it out and when they finally did and he opened the door, floods and floods of water came pouring out; it was the most insane thing! Everyone enjoyed it though as you can imagine lol!

Soon after the truck drowning, everyone found their way over to the shooting range. This farm is huge y'all! While everyone was enjoying that, Cassie and I took the opportunity to hop in an ATV and go mudding and boy did we get muddy! You can see our enjoyment in Granger Smith's new music video "Chevys, Hemis, Yotas & Fords".

After our mudding excursion we were ready to eat! There was an amazing buffet where we had pork, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes. While we were eating we were able to watch the fishing that was taking place in a huge pool filled with catfish AND watch the defense dogs run after the guy with a fake protective arm!

Finally, we drove the truck over to the massive bonfire to conclude our fabulous day. Chillin' on the bed of the truck, meeting new people and just enjoying the atmosphere. Oh yeah! I also got to be formally introduced to Granger Smith, thanks to Travis; that was really awesome!

As we got back to the hotel, reminiscing on our day, we hit up the hotel hot tub and just took it all in. An overall incredible day and I could not be more grateful to have been a part of it!

Thank you so much to Granger Smith and his family for putting such an amazing event together and being such great hosts, looking forward to next year! Yee Yee!
